My room passed the black light test. I do this before I go to any motel six in any hotel in general before I put my items inside, especially because dogs are free and you never know if dogs come in with fleas. I went to this hotel after I went to the Motel 6 North Airport. The building was fairly new and furniture was updated. The flooring was nice but you can tell it was starting to come up from water. I’m not a big fan of the showers that stand up in are circle. The shower a cleaned before I got in it of course before I ever get into a shower, I always have my shoes, but I just knew this shower wasn’t completely as clean as it could have been. It just needed to be whiten and I was able to get it white after I scrubbed it with Dawn dish soap and vinegar, mixed together shaken and in a spray bottle. As I lay down, there was one gray blanket that had a stain in the middle. I just didn’t use the blanket. I could’ve asked for another one, but I was really tired. I was on the second floor and luckily someone moved their car so I can have my car parked where I can see it. There were a lot of loiters around and I didn’t see any security. They make you put a placard on your car so security knows that you are just some random car. The stair set up is annoying. It takes forever sometimes to go downstairs and there are plenty of opportunities where they could have made a staircase to make it easier.

This was the worse motel 6 that I stayed in the history of motel 6's. Staff personnel was rude & uncaring & blamed all the problems on everything except their own. Had dirty towels & no toilet paper(at least first night was a fairly nice & helpful front desk person who got me toilet paper & clean towels for that one night). Had an ugly stain on one of the beds, human hair around the bed(we know where this is going) and yes cockroaches, yuk! Unless they fire the entire staff(except for that one young lady who got me TP & clean towels) I highly don't recommend staying at this Motel 6 location ever🤬!

The freeway in this area makes it interesting to get to. I'm personally not a fan but the motel has no control over those. Everything the motel did have control of I was happy with. The standards I expect from the Motel 6 brand were met. I think the bed itself was better than expected. The clerk that checked us in appeared young but definitely had the knowledge, friendliness and skill expected of the Motel 6 standard. I definitely appreciated this after having attempted to stay at another location in town... I will be posting a review for that one as well.

This experience for me happen in August, so I'm hoping that mgmt got their act together and made some greatly needed improvements. To quote film star Bette Davis... "What a dump" 1. When I arrived the clerk (who was nice) stated that I had to cough up $100 in cash for a damage deposit. I told the clerk that when I booked my reservation there was no mention of a $100 cash deposit. She ignore that and insisted on the money. 2. When I arrived at my room, the A/C didn't work. Also I didn't realize that the room was already occupied....with cockroaches. 3. The next room I got was a smoker's room (I DON'T smoke) which reeked in stale smoke. More cockroaches greeted me, but fortunately the little critters kept to themselves in the bathroom. The floors had not been clean in quite awhile and were filthy. The bottoms of my feet were Jet Black. I was going to be spending most of my time out of the Albuquerque area, so I just slept there. I honestly thought I'd be walking out of there with bed bugs. 4. I when I checked out, the clerk told me I'd have to wait until they checked the room for any damages. At that point I kind of lost it and told her that I'm a 70 year old man who doesn't go around damaging hotel rooms. She went to her mgr and he Ok'd that they would "Void" the "Damage Check" and gave me back my deposit. What's sad about this experience is that I've stayed at this motel 6 two other times and never had an issue. It was always clean and definitely NO cockroaches! I guess with covid they're short staff and I'm being generous here with this excuse. Anyway. If I were you, I'd stay far away from this Pathetic excuse for a motel!

The nicest motel in town. It's clean and has a nice swimming pool. Employees are attentive and they keep the place clean. Security at night makes you feel safe that's a big plus in Albuquerque. I returned many times and I will return again!
