::Just tried their St. Joseph's pastries. Excellent. Not too sweet or heavy. Nice people too. I've had pastries from Manhattan to Maintain. Right up there with the best. Breads are good too.

::After reading these reviews...Not sure if they visited the same place I did. The staff are nice folks, and that’s as far I can agree on. I visited the store the week of Thanksgiving. I asked for a pound of butter cookies and asked the owner who was serving on me; “Are the butter cookies fresh? Because they are going to a doctor’s office and I don’t want to look bad.” She stated; “Yes, they are fresh.” Well when I got to the doctor’s office, I gave the receptionist the box and she opened it while we were having coffee. I nearly cracked my tooth biting into not one but tried several cookies. I took the box and apologized to the receptionist. Googled a nearby bakery and bought another pound. Night and day difference. I figured to give them a second chance, again the owner took care of me and I told her that I needed a birthday cake but had to be fresh. She recommended a strawberry shortcake and said it was fresh. Low-and-behold, it was so old and I was so embarrassed. Needless to say, I won’t be buying any sweets from this store. The Italian bread is great, but not had good experiences with the sweet stuff.
