  I came to Momentum and Chris to recover from rotator cuff surgery. I am a weight lifter and a martial artist and Chris was able to assess both my ability to heal and my limitations and train me accordingly. He pushed me to my limit and never beyond. He taught me exercises I could do on my own rather than a bunch that required machines that only he had. Two months after my surgery, my doctor was amazed at both the strength and flexibility of my right arm and pronounced me fit to go back to normal life. This was, of course, insane, since what I do normally is kind of violent. Chris worked with me another month. Beyond his skill and instinct for a patient's needs, Chris's most outstanding trait is his patience. And the fact that he's always thinking. I doubt he ever treats any two patients alike. He doesn't have a formula for your recovery. He assesses your personal needs and designs your training accordingly, and adapts as he goes. I continued his exercises after I left--in fact, the exercises he taught me are the ONLY exercises I do for my shoulders now. I was able to return to full and complete use of my arm for all activities less than 5 months after surgery and I credit this entirely to Chris.
