I'm pretty sure everyone here was early 20s. Like 21-22. I heard rumors that it's a happening spot for freshmen/sophomores w fake ID but I can't say for certain. If you are young you might love it. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. It was more reminiscent of a college house party than I've ever seen at a bar. At 34yo I can blend w a mid 20s crowd but this crossed the line. Also don't expect any real cocktails. I ordered a drink w ginger beer in it and they mixed coke and sprite šŸ¤£šŸ¤£. I feel kind of bad for knocking a star off for that because it's a college watering hole, not a bougie cocktail bar.

There are just a few things I wanted to pick at... the bathrooms are one issue, there are stalls in the restaurant area but they arenā€™t very well maintained during weekend hours. Last night there was a broken beer bottle with pieces of glass in multiple stalls. The furnace was also blasting and it was already pretty warm outside, which makes it VERY uncomfortable. The patio/ bar area thatā€™s covered by an awning has hundreds of holes and leaks when it rains. It should probably be repaired or replaced. Other than maintenance things, itā€™s a huge space and the ambiance is good. The bartenders are very busy and could smile a little more instead of some of them looking frumpy. I donā€™t care how many drunk jerks there are there, there are also people that neglect to be stupid or belligerent. :) There was a gentleman in the main indoor bar area that was really pleasant and the patio bar there was a man (possibly a manager) that was kind as well!

Been going here for years, then the other night, one of the bouncers and ā€œmanagersā€ were refusing to speak to us, let alone answer the question we had. Cannot even believe how rude they were. No one answered the phone for hours, and their website has very vague hours for special events. Will not be coming back for quite awhile.

Horrible service in the bar. Not sure what service is like in other parts of the restaurant. The bartender was a lazy guy that was glued to his phone to the point he couldn't even wipe down the bar for customers. The was absolutely awful and even if the bartender knew any cocktails we wouldn't know because he spent most of his time with his back to us while he tapped away on his phone. We ordered alligator Rangoon and gumbo. They both had horrible textures but worst of all was the gumbo. The gumbo was not fresh and tasted like some sort of canned reheated mess. Disgusting bar, disgusting service, and disgusting food. Will NEVER return. I HOPE THIS PLACE GOES OUT OF BUSINESSšŸ˜”

I have only experienced Molly's for lunch, so I can't comment on the dinner or bar experience. When arriving for lunch we were greeted promptly and seated in a room essentially by ourselves. I'm not sure if it was an off day or time, or if we just ended up in a weird section, but we seemed to be the only table in the section. Our server was friendly and answered all of our questions. The food arrived quickly, and was tasty by all accounts. The server continued to check on us frequently, keeping our drinks refreshed. All in all this was a good experience, and if I find myself in Soulard again I would definitely try Molly's for dinner or drinks.
