  These owners are an asset to any contractor or person with any project large or small. They take their time to understand your project and offer sound advice and make sure you don't over pay. I have worked with them for 2 years and never once had a bad experience. They take pride in the business they have built.

  I've been going here for years. Great layout, things are easy to find, but the real value here is in the people. Dave, George, and Jake are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and imaginative. The collective expertise is unbelievable. Jake knows a ton about paint and paintbrushes, and when I described my needs, he special ordered two additional brushes, beyond the many they carry, just in case I might prefer on. Then last Friday I was there looking for something that didn't exist, and George found two different items I could try to improvise with. Meanwhile Dave was helping another customer with a broken, vintage faucet handle shaped like a fish. The part she needed was no longer made, but Dave found a way to improvise with a cotter pin. Total cost to the customer: 25 cents. The expertise: priceless. I've used all the other hardware stores where I live and work, and you can't find people like this anywhere. Modern Hardware is the best!
