This man is handling a six digit estate of a friend of mine. He speaks to them disrespectfully, hangs up the phone on them, he's totally unprofessional and disrespectful and will be reported to the Bar Association! I wouldn't recommend him to anybody to handle anything! You havent heard the last of what I have to say Mr. Shapiro and I won't be asking you for money to remove this post either .. How dare you respond to a review saying someone asked you for money yeah a conniving unprofessional attorney which means you're probably an awful human being also

The large sum of money I paid Mr. Mitchell M. Shapiro to help my mother through a divorce; he spent on 2-3 vacations. My mother's estranged husband is an abusive and deceptive person who abused my mother physically, verbally, emotionally, spiritually, and was causing severe health issues to my mother and to our family. This was why we wanted the divorce. Also, both my mother's estranged husband and his lawyer are possibly doing criminal actions to aid themselves through this divorce. Before settling on divorce stipulations, which should've been the first order of business, Mr. Shapiro forced my mother to close on a house and made my mother and I homeless without really protecting us. At closing on our house, Mr. Shapiro aided the other lawyers to illegally evict us. Also, Mr. Shapiro and the other lawyers forced my mother against her own will to sign the house away, as well as not allowing my mother to make any changes to the house sale contract, and not getting the money we had spent on repair's that my mother's estranged husband was responsible for. At closing, we never received the repair money that Mr. Shapiro stated and promised to get for my mother, as well as all the money she was suppose to get from the house sale (including escrow money). Mr. Shapiro, my mother's estranged husband and his lawyer made my mother move when she had an emergency surgery and wasn't suppose to lift or move anything heavy until her injury healed, yet they made her do so within that time period even when my mother wasn't well enough, and had a doctor's note so she wouldn't re-injure herself. Not only that, but the buyers haven't even moved into the house yet. A month later the house is still vacant, and in the contract, it stated my mother had three days to vacate the house after the closing date but she was forced at closing to be evicted. Mr. Shapiro than tried to extort more money from us when trying to settle on stipulations and bring closure to the final divorce. Mr. Shapiro also stated he would bring closure to this divorce quickly, but a year later with his services; the divorce is still not finalized. Mr. Shapiro was also insulting both my mother and I over e-mails as well. After closing, I had lost all my life savings to him for his noncommittal to finalize the divorce. We terminated Mr. Shapiro after the house closing since of what he did, leaving my mother and I unprotected and not finalizing the divorce, and currently leaving my mother to defend herself. I'm very aggravated and disgusted with the way Mr. Shapiro conducted business as my mother's representation. This is totally disgraceful and would NOT recommend him to anyone. Beware!!!

The law office of Mitchell M. Shapiro has been a great help in dealing with my legal issues. Mr. Shapiro has been there personally( as compared to a large law firm) every time I have needed him. There was no need to go through secretaries and become just a number waiting on line for an answer. He truly cares, and in this day and age that is a rare occurence.... The rates are reasonable and I couldn't be happier with the representation and support I have gotten from this attorney. I would certainly recommend him to my friends and family, and in fact I already have!
