  Great place to eat a sack lunch and watch the barges float by, while the breeze blows through your car.

  At the river was kind of nice but I was like I'm a black woman and only water I do is in my bathrl tub hahabahaha.

  It's still pretty amazing to me to be able to enjoy a park along a river with so much literary, historical and economic significance. The paved trail runs along river for about a mile and a half then turns inland and continues. A grass path is lower and closer to the river and floods whenever the river rises. In the summer there's lots of great shade and usually the river produces a nice breeze. Lots of families and people exercising make the area very energetic.
