  My child had symptoms of meningitis. I was 8 months pregnant. We spent nearly 6 hours in their ER of Miami Children's Hospital and NEVER saw a doctor. We had to leave because I was starting to have contractions due to their negligence. I kept asking for help, feedbacks, updates, and was completely dismissed and ignored. The staff was rude and arrogant, no one ever gave us even a nod saying "I apologize" or any kind of basic customer care etiquette when they saw me suffering. They did not seem focused at work, they all were chit-chatting, gossiping, and moving really slow with the paperwork they were on (only duty I saw anyone pretending to do). A true nightmare. I swear I will never set foot there again. They managed to be worse than Mount Sinai's ER. I had a good experience in Boca, at the Boca Medical Center (even though it is so far and I had to pay a lot more because of insurance), where we were acknowledge and treated with a lot of consideration and good care, even with all the wait involved in a medical setting. Miami Children's Hospital is AWFUL.

  I wish I could rate my experience without even giving this facility one star but it won't allow that. My actual experience with the doctor and nursing staff was fine. We were on family vacation and my daughter got sick, and we had to go here because she was too young to visit the minute clinic. The issue started when I started getting calls from their billing department months after I paid my child's bill in full. I am now on month 4 of them calling me leaving me a message to call them because I have a balance, only for me to be told when I get someone on the phone, (after waiting a good 15 minutes on hold), that I in fact do not have a balance. They apologize and promise that they will make sure the billing office fixes the problem and stops calling me. Then the next month.. the calls continue. It is bordering on harassment at this point, and I am on the verge of fining a formal complaint with the BBB.

  As a long-time independent video producer for the hospital, I've had the great privilege to have had access to the many caring healthcare professionals and administrators employed at Miami Children's Hospital. I'm always impressed by not only the high level of expertise but of the great lengths they go to create a hospital environment that focuses on the children and families they serve. It is truly a diamond in our midst and the South Florida community should consider itself fortunate to have a nationally recognized hospital right here in their backyard.

  Miami Children's Hospital is the best! They have amazing doctors and staff! I recommend this hospital to anyone looking for the best care available for your child.

  We were flown in from Key West for my daughters head injury. When we first got into the triage area, it seemed like it was not going to be a good experience. However, once we got admitted and went to the PICU and the recovery room, the staff was very caring and helpful. So far my daughter is doing great and we've been very grateful for the care we received here.
