::The successor to L'Avenida just down the street, I love this place! Grew up going to the original restaurant and try to make it here every time I'm in town. Great mission style burritos, great portions, good price.

::The usual Mexican menu you find in San Francisco. Even the usual prices. What makes Mexican Grill different is the exceptionally good food with big portions at such a price. Hand made by the proprietress daily from fresh ingredients. She works alone so it feels almost as if Mom making a burrito just for me. As a creature of habit I usually have a carne asada Super Burrito. It comes with chips and salsa but I usually have them hold the guacamole from the burrito and put it in the side for eating with the chips--she makes the most extraordinary guacamole and it would be a shame to have it mixed all together on the burrito. I love to eat it just with the chips so I can really savor its flavor. Tucked inside a dessert shop in the back it's almost impossible to even know that the Mexican Grill is there. The only marker is a small fold out sign that is placed in front of Tart to Tart. The story is that it originally was a stand-alone shop a few blocks away but when the rent rose to unaffordable rate the people from Tart to Tart were kind enough to sublet the kitchen space to the owner.

Thought I would remove my year old review and try them again with kids Shame on my to think they can run a taqueria use to be my favorite spot when they where next to yellow submarine The seems to think that that telling customers ( me ) that someone was before me when they weren’t is going to make it ok and wait for dam 15 -20 mins for a simple burrito the guy behind me left and so did I Invest in a sign that says “ order here “ not I make food for only regulars Well I was a regular No More My son just said you took 37 mins
