::Went here having only read reviews online. 8am appointment with Mario was absolutely awesome. The shop was pretty empty so early which made it a great intimate experience. I think I lucked out by picking Mario because I have longer hair and wanted to keep it pretty long. He was very easy to talk to, did a great job, and I was in and out in exactly 30 minutes. Will definitely go back. As an added perk, it is located in the Monadnock Building and fits perfectly.

::My boyfriend got a haircut at Metropolitan yesterday, and the barber, Joseph Hamilton, did an amazing job. He cut off 6 inches of hair, and crafted a suave, modern haircut. The shave was very old fashioned: hot towel, shaving soap, and a straight razor. I was impressed by the barbers' attention to detail. Every edge and layer was styled carefully, and the end results were great. I'm definitely bringing my boyfriend back here when we come home to Chicago again!
