::Super busy at 9AM on a Sunday, but was able to get a seat at the counter right away. Very ample portion sizes for the price and the food was great. Nice little local diner. Staff was very friendly and my coffee cup was never empty. Their motto is "Where the locals eat", and I don't doubt that for a minute.

::Stopped in for a late lunch and it was amazing. We got the hot turkey plate and Big Bern's fried pork sandwich (this was a dinner special). Everything was so so good. Fast and friendly service. If we lived in Jacksonville we'd be here at least twice a week. Highly recommend.

::I love your place. We come back to Jacksonville twice a year. But you took away my favorite French toast with cinnamon,raisin,and pecans. You should really bring it back. I had pound cake and not crazy about it. Service was great.

::I have eaten at the Metro Diner almost a half dozen times and have never been disappointed. You cannot beat the breakfast. The hash browns are to die for, and you cannot go wrong with the biscuits and gravy. For lunch and dinner the meatloaf is amazing, and the Pittsburgh steak salad is an interesting taste of the steel city. The staff is wonderful, and the place has that old school diner feel. I highly recommend sitting at the counter. You will be amazed at how fast the cooks move. Offering free to go beverages after your meal is a great touch that does not go unnoticed. Make sure to stop in at the Metro Diner if you are ever in Jacksonville.

::Metro Diner is one of a kind(even though there are several locations). The food is ALWAYS delicious. Diverse menu... you can get a traditional breakfast OR You can venture out of your comfort zone and get any number of unique dishes. If you're passing through Jacksonville - this is the place to stop. Try the Chicken and Waffles - comes with strawberry butter and spicy syrup. Trust me.
