::Prepare yourself for workouts unlike anything else you've experienced, and welcome the outstanding results they bring. I feel stronger, my metabolism is supercharged, and the core muscle groups I build in this class make all my other workouts seem easier. The instructors are attentive, always offering me variations to meet my needs and my capacity. Solid Five Stars, thank you Method.

::My husband and I have been practicing Lagree method for over 3 years. We have visited 25+ studios, West to East, North to South. We are loyal Lagree athletes and fully believe in the effectiveness and challenge of the workout. We are on the advanced side of the practice, and trainers can still challenge us to muscle shake, fatigue and failure. We would workout 5-6 times a week. We moved to New York in February and found Method 10533. We both purchased 20 packs (a total of $1080 to the studio). As we tried new trainers and classes, we started to modify certain exercises to make it more challenging. Examples: adding springs, completing the same exercises off the back vs. the front, flying during scrambled eggs, etc. These are common advanced modifications across any studio. Overall Business comments: 1) The trainers do not correct form. This could create serious injuries but also certainly reduces the effectiveness of the exercise. 2) Trainers do not call out advanced modifications, creating a limitation for clients to move to a higher level of intensity. 3) The routines are not diversified. The same 20-30 exercises are completed every workout, only the sequence is switched around. As my husband completed his initial 20 pack in late June, and I had 3 classes remaining, we received an email from the BUSINESS. I will include the direct emails below to emphasize the language from the Business to their “valued” clients. In summary, the business asked us, via email, if we were going to buy more classes, to stop doing advanced modifications. When we respectfully explained our intentions, we did not receive a response. When I wrote to kindly request a refund on my last 3 classes, no longer feeling welcomed in the studio, the business refused, citing a policy of non-refundable classes. I was requesting an $81 refund, after we spent $1080 and then requested to stop working out to the best of our abilities and the business refused. My largest complaint is the METHOD chosen to interact and address concerns with its clients. Instead of speaking to us after class, or asking to understand why we may modify, we are sent an email asking us to stop or do not come back, and then refused a refund for my last classes. Emails below (removing any specific references to people): June 30 – From Business: If you plan on purchasing another package and continuing attending classes at Method, we would appreciate that you be more respectful of our equipment, instructors and other clients. We have had numerous complaints from clients that you are a distraction in class; by not following the routine as led by the instructor it is very confusing for others. Additionally, the constant and abrupt switching of springs throughout the class and allowing the carriage to slam into front platform creates further confusion and possible damage to the equipment. We value all of our clients and appreciate that you choose to work out at method. We want every class at method to be a positive and motivating environment for all of our clients. We hope that you will help us with the above requests. June 30 – Our Response: While we do understand your concerns, we want to provide some feedback and explanation. Ariel and I vary the exercises, modify the routine and add springs to make the workout more challenging, more diversified and more advanced. Advanced modifications are rarely explained during class for those who are more advanced and wish to challenge themselves on the Megaformer, so this may be why others are confused. Lastly, many of the trainers do not diversify their workouts. We perform the same 20 exercises every class, to the point where we have it memorized. There is one thing than we will rarely do and that is slamming the machine. We respect your equipment and have a great understanding of all of Sebastian’s machines and their value. We are not saying it never happens, but we know that we always do our best to take care of the equipment. [No response received from Business]
