::I believe in supporting small businesses, and that is why I walked into this shop because we where eating next door and I noticed they sold ice cream. I should have walked out the minute I walked in and there were no clear signs as to how the ice cream was being sold. And the fact that it was more of a t-shirt shop and not an ice cream shop. A man walks behind the counter and asks how we can be helped, I ask how the ice cream being sold. He just points at cup of ice cream and says you can buy that size. I then reply I will take one as my daughter wanted ice cream. I then ask for a flavor not available and he replies I can sell you a scoop. Had I known that from the beginning I would have bought a scoop for her as well. But I did not say anything because I thought my fault I should have asked. As my daughter sees the cone, she lets me know she would like a cone. At this point a really sweet employee was helping us because the man had to help someone else. I ask her if I could buy a cone and put some of the ice cream I was purchasing in a cup and she replies sure. Then the man turns around and looks at her and yells "what are you doing!?" as if she was a child and she freezes. He says the ice cream from the cup stays in the cup and the cones only from some other ice cream he pointed to. I look at the girl and say that is fine I will pay for another cone from the ice cream that he told you. How was I going to explain to my daughter that this man was pretty much saying we couldn't have the cone with what we were purchasing. I was not asking for anything free I said I would pay for the cone but his attitude towards his own employee was horrible. I wish I would have said I do not want anything and walked out and gone to a more legitimate ice cream parole. But again I was trying to support a small business. He sure needs to learn how to treat his employees. I manage an office and know I would never humiliate my employees in front of a customer. I understand they have rules as to how things are being sold but a simple explanation would have been nice. He really needs to re-think how he runs his business if he wants it to succeed and keep employees. Will never return here and I hope others do not to avoid a very uncomfortable situation. I wish I could give it Zero stars as this place deserves that.
