  This is going to sound like a fake review but I assure you it isn't. I don't know the people at Merrick Preowned and in fact I've never even bought a car at a dealer before (always private party). I came down looking for an 07 Sonata or older and Susan answered from the office and informed me that the Sonata had actually just been sold and was awaiting final prep before delivery to a customer. I then noticed it was indeed in the very front ready to go out. She asked me if there was anything else I might be interested in, but I said no and started walking to the car. I noticed a Santa Fe behind the office and went back to ask her about it. She politely said it had just come in and hadn't been detailed because she wasn't sure they would keep it to sell but she said she would take me over to look. She started it up, popped the hood, and let me poke around. Susan inspected the engine, asked if I could see the apparent oil leak (I could) and then said "This isn't for you and I won't be keeping it to sell to anyone". Wow, am I really at a used car dealer? She took my information just in case (I selfishly hope that guy for some reason renegs on the Sonata) and again asked if there was anything else I was interested in. There wasn't and I appreciated that she didn't push the 2013 Sonata since it was obviously not in the price range I was contemplating. I didn't get to buy a car but I certainly would have if there had been something in stock I liked. Susan was polite, warm, and seemed to be looking to make a fair deal for both parties, which is rare and something that my previous dealership salespeople were definitely not very concerned with. Even if the cars here are priced slightly higher I think you can buy with confidence. Compared to the dealers I visited they aren't but YMMV I suppose. And I don't write a lot of reviews either, this will be my second on Google.

  Went there recently to purchase myself a car before college started because my 2000 Grand Am GT was finally at its limits, and my goodness, after visiting the KIA dealership in East Meadow the night before, this place is amazing! The appearance nor the interior aren't much to write home about, but the two people that I met running it more than make up for it! Such wonderful, honest people that have no qualms about telling you about themselves while doing their business, which really made me have a great connection with them! All in all, if you are looking for a used car at great deals, this is the place for you!
