  I can't recommend going to Merrick Family Eye Care unless you've bought from them or it's the closest place within 20 miles. I went here to get my frames adjusted that I had just bought online and quite liked. I give the woman the instructions that the customer service rep told me to give them: "use low heat and low pressure or the frames might bubble." Seems important right? I'm not sure what I did to deserve what she said to me, but it went something like this, "I'm doing you a favor and taking directions from someone else, so I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do." As if my walking into that office was the worst part of her day. I would've been glad to pay $20 if it meant I wouldn't have been talked down to. I'll be driving an extra 10 miles next time I need new glasses or an adjustment.

  My eyes are in rough shape. I mean, we're not talking "legally" blind, but you wouldn't want me to operate heavy machinery without corrective lenses. So I really take who I choose to be my optometrist pretty seriously and Dr. Jaclyn Benzoni of Merrick Family Eye Care is my optometrist for life. She and her staff are courteous and take their time to explain every step of my eye exam, which is important when you stick your eye ball into a machine I think. I'm also a fan of that machine that wants me to find the hot air balloon as opposed to another image, and they also have a cool machine which I will call Optimus Prime 5000 which scans your eye ball without you having to be dilated, which is awesome. So to summarize, modern equipment, caring staff, clean waiting room, and right by the train station and a big parking lot so very easy to get to. If you can't see how great this place is, maybe you need a new prescription.
