::Carrot cake stale / kinda hard and it didn’t taste like carrot cake. Some baked goods are not fresh Experience this more than once but it’s still a nice place for sandwiches

::This place was great! A myriad of great options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! A nice, homey atmosphere as well. Just order one of the pre-made bakery items as well as your meal because it takes some time for your food to be made.

::Probably the best service I've ever experienced in Kansas City MO. Phenomenal decor, enhanced by the octopus clothing hangers. Fireplace and Christmas village included. Already a five star experience. Food came out quickly and was quite decent. Chill vibes and accessible work hours.

::Love this place and the owner and staff! Great selection. Delicious cookies! Comfy at home feeling with the sofas for seating and decor. Used to offer a Death by chocolate that was my favorite but discontinued it due to poor sales. However, they offered to specially make it upon request for me, with advanced notice! That's just awesome customer service right there!

::We got 2 cheeseburger baskets, 2 drinks, and two "day old" carrot cake pieces for just under $20. The buns were toasted, the burger had fresh tomato, onion, and lettuce and the burger patty was thick and cooked just right, done but not the least bit dry. The fries were fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The carrot cake is moist and had discernible bits of carrot in it. The icing is sweet but not too sweet as a lot of mass produced bakery products are. We were only able to taste the cake and unable to finish it from being full from the meal. My partner had two comments to make, that the bun was toasted a bit too much for his liking, and he felt that the price was high. I disagreed on both because I would rather pay $20 to a shop for fresh ingredients and imo better food, than $15 for two meals at the "Burger Lord" next door (and no cake!).
