::Been eating here for years - absolutely love this diner. Authentic old school diner food - the real Mel’s Diner feel - staff all know you and greeted warmly at all times. Highly recommended - pancakes rival IHOP.

::Cozy bit of time -capsule. Also the site of the TV show of the same name in the 1970's. Good basic food American fare. Daily specials and friendly staff. If you're grandpa, this will be nostalgia on a plate. If you're the grandchildren, this will show you how it should still be done at least somewhere.

::Maybe Mel's Diner used to be nice, clean and popular....but it seems to be be run down and dingy now. At least fix your nice neon sign in front to show people your in business and doing well. Good if very typical of a small dovey diner. Most items are reasonably priced to a little too expensive for what it is! Good luck guys.

::Biscuits like grandma used to make - creamy and peppery! I drive by daily and decided to give it a try finally - no regrets! I will be going back. It's an older building with some cool history. Don't let the exterior stop you from trying this out.

::My family use to frequent this diner and never had a bad experience. My daughter and I stopped in a couple weeks back and not only is it rundown it was filthy. The waitress was horrible. She seemed like she hated her job. The meal took awhile, arrived at room temp and lacked any taste at all. Watered down ketchup as well as watery ranch dressing. Sadly a big thumbs down. We won't be returning and shared our experience with family members who have similar experiences. Sadly Mel's Diner is just a thing of the past now
