::I have been with this bank so long that my account # is 5 digits long, but I have come to the point where I am done with this institution. I have had a few auto loans with them and the last one I had, had been PIF for about a year before I found myself needing another. March 2022 my car finally called it quits so I applied online and the loan officer that called me to discuss it was rude and downright nasty. I assume she thought that I was over extended (don't know) so she not only declined my request for an auto loan, but also closed my credit card account. My credit card was expiring at the end of April 2022 soo I would need a new card. She put an end to that, once the card expired they did not send me another and the account status now shows closed. In my time of need this bank was not there for me and made my situation worse. Because of this I don't keep my money in this account at all. Most recently I needed to make a payment so I called and I have been transferred twice with no help. Was told to call the 'Telephone Teller' and I cannot do it through their VRU. I am very displeased, so much so that I am writing this review,.. which I NEVER do. If you choose this banking institution I would suggest proceeding with caution and thoroughly researching it. Emily

::Awful service! I cannot access my money because my card expired and I still haven't received my new one in the mail, management is incompetent, the loan officers say they will call but emailed canned responses instead, interest rates are way too high for excellent credit, their system failed to take the last payment of my auto loan because it was lower than the plugged in payment of 5 years which caused my credit score to drop 80 POINTS! They fixed it after numerous calls SMH. I am closing the account, stopping use of all MECU credit cards and going with Navy Federal Credit Union.

::I have been a mecu member for about 8 years now but I’m really getting ready to close this account down! My card expired last month and I reached out to a representative to see when my new card would be sent . The representative told me soon . I wake up one day and these people closed my card down and reported my card lost . It took them over a month to send my new card and when I finally received it , I couldn’t activate it because someone LIED and said that my card was lost . These people have been giving me the run around all day and no one can seem to give me a concrete answer ! Would not recommend this credit union to anyone . Never had any issues before last month .

::This bank absolutely makes it so hard to pay a bill. They won't take a payment over the phone by credit or debit card. You can't pay by check over the phone. My bank PNC has tried to to make automatic payment but MECU does not allow it. There customer service continues to push you to make a payment from a there savings account. I don't bank there. I only pay an auto loan there. Customer service is the worst. Can't believe they can stay in business

::Been a member for more than 10 years. Opened car loans with them and a home equity like of credit, everything was fine with getting the loan. But years, more than 7 years after my car loan and home equity line loan were fully paid off I have never received a lien release for either. I called the customer service to get help with this and was directed to email an internal department, which I did. I followed up 4 times over a 3 week period and heard nothing back from the department. So I had to go in person, once going in person there was further discrepancies and misinformation provided by internal staff. After speaking to a manger the lien release was provided but it too weeks of stress, and run around to be provided with a simple document update that should have been automatically provided to me by MECU 7 years ago when my loans were fully paid off. This credit union is also very outdated technology wise and process wise, feels like banking in the stone ages. I will be relocating my deposit account elsewhere and will not be obtaining anymore loans from MECU.
