It’s nice having a McDonald’s with a lobby open late (until midnight). No drive thru though. Service is a tad on the slower side, but somewhat understandable since there’s usually a decent amount of people in line. Each time I’ve been here my food has been pretty fresh, including the fries.

Just left here. There was one guy mumbling obscene comments to people as he walked around. Then he sat and stared at people mumbling the same. Another fella that was cursing to himself loud enough that the whole store could here it. There were at least 3 families in there plus mine. The manager finally came out and asked the loud guy to keep it down. He did for about 30 seconds then started yelling again. Why he wasn’t asked to leave or the police called I have no idea. With the holiday inn close by obviously families will come in after arriving or getting back from tours. I warned 2 people walking out of the holiday inn with a small child about it. I’m sure after seeing it for themselves, they will feel the same as us, and won’t return either.

Inside was so hot. Their soda machines had run out of flavor and it was just bitter fizzy water. I DID NOT EAT ANY FRIES. This is how many fries they gave me. I should have bought a medium meal instead.

McDonald's is always pretty standard. This one (being in the heart of DC) is busier than most. But if you place an order on the displays when they bring it to you they should bring out everything. Not just the sandwiches & fries. I had to go back and wait in a different line just to get cups and and a sundae (which defeats the purpose of using a cashier-less system if I just have to wait to see a cashier). Even if I have to wait in a different line, there isn't any direction on what to do or where to go. Not how I would have designed or put into action the system.

I am going to be generous here, as someone who generally is not a supporter of McDonald's. This place was busy but well-managed, with quick service, well-staffed, and hot and clean fries and coffee. Most of the time in other McDonald's, fries are somewhat warm with old oil taste. This one was clean and fresh. It is also an attractive and casual spot for a McDonald's. No parking except on street.
