  Throughout McCarran International Airport are hundreds of slot machines to help you finish emptying your wallet. (I always try to find the busiest slot machine; figuring the machine at the end of the line is used the most and should pay the best. However, I still drive a four door sedan.) This is Las Vegas, a city that thrives on tourism. So, the well trained staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good to excellent, but expensive. The gift shops have fine lines of bling. There is a sequined baseball cap designed to blind both the pitcher and catcher. Bathrooms are well maintained. Everything is wheelchair accessible.

  I liked this airport the first time i went through, but on my more recent visit I was even more impressed. Still a lot more chill than most airports, but with a much neater look, and without sacrificing that Vegas feel. When you're not there yet but suddenly there's flashy, noisy slot machines all over the place, it's just exciting. Picture that in an easy-to-navigate airport and you have McCarran.

  Was easy for me to get to where I needed to be. The gate displays are up front. My flight was early so there were no security lines. Security at this airport does a thorough job and my unopened food was checked, so make sure you give yourself time to get checked through security. It's been a while since I had been at this airport and it looked totally different since last being there maybe 10yrs or so ago.

  Very cool. What an awesome reception area as soon as you step off the jetway. Slot machines, flashy lights, rental cars in the airport. Sheer excitement to get you started on exploring Vegas. Pretty easy to get around. Everyone was really friendly. So helpful in leading in the correct direction.

  Finish construction between terminals and it will be almost perfect. I've been around quite a few airports in my life and the McCarran has been improved quite a lot from the original. While the original or may be older one was a bit more narrow hallways with slot machines filling them to a greater degree than people the new airport seems brighter with better facilities and much better organization then the older one. The airport became a hub for America West awhile, which is now part of AA and being a hub it shows. The airport is busy but doesn't feel congested like Newark or JFK. May be for the lack of international traffic but I cannot be sure, but it was a pleasure to fly in and out of this November.
