  Food was great. The staff was not. They were not very busy and I waited for my check for 20 minutes. I was going to spend another $40 here to bring my wife and kids home some food but due to the slow service I opted not to. It’s a shame because the food is really good.

  First time customer and overall I enjoyed my first visit and would definitely try it again. First off I think the fried chicken and waffles along with the Kool Aid gimmick is worth mentioning. The chicken was the best part in my opinion while the waffle left me a little disappointed as it was pretty average. The syrup also wasn't anything special and neither was the service for my first visit. I will be trying May's again though because like I said I did enjoy my first visit.

  Listen, I usually love this place. The last two times I’ve been here the servers haven’t refilled waters or coffee and for the second time in a row my servers have left me sitting here waiting for my check. Service isn’t usually like this but I’m finding less and less reasons to continue coming here. Food is always fantastic, service is progressively getting worse.

  Gravy wasn't very good (both the mushroom and country white gravy), the chicken fried steak had a liver taste to it, and the fried chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil. The only thing I enjoyed was the okra. The waiter however provided the best service I've had in years. He was very attentive my drink was never empty. Also they have delicious ranch dressing. The waffles were nothing special either. I was so excited but left disappointed. The service and interior were wonderful but the food was a big let down.

  If I could leave zero stars I would. We weren’t even able to sit down because for some reason they were unable to accommodate 2 high chairs at one table. The hostess and waiter were both rude and acted like they had no idea what they were doing. We understand the fact that we may have to wait but to be told that they had no tables available to accommodate our needs? There were tat least 2 empty tables in the restaurant (which wasn’t even busy). We were told those tables were on hold for reservations. No one was willing or able to be creative to make any attempt to try and sit our family. They were perfectly fine letting us leave, without any second thought or apology. I will never, ever come back nor recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed.
