  We decided to drive all the way out to Great Neck to give this place a try. The service was excellent, however the food was not, we ordered sweet plantains which seemed to have been deep fried and where super cruchy, they seemed more like chunky tostones, not what I'd expected. We had the Mayan churrasco it was ok nothing out of the ordinary for steak. We gave the atol the elote a try it was ok just not to my liking, when we ordered mixtas and a (shuko)hot dog the guacamole was brownish and not appetizing at all, the tortilla for the mixta was cold and hard. The choco bananos where old and the inside of one was black, so we just threw that away (but being winter time I'm assuming they won't be fresh since who orders choco bananos in a 20 degree weather) We payed almost $80 for food for 2, I wouldn't have mind the price if the food was great but it wasn't.

  I am going to say that the food is very authentic mexican and is very homey. It's not a fancy place or first or second date place but is a place for a good meal and coffee. There is street parking and the location is street store on northern boulevard, so that aspect is meh. But on balance it's definitely enjoyable food with an iffier location. Nudge it to 4-1/2 stars perhaps because it is authentic mexican food. Translation: it would be helpful here if you know how to speak spanish.

  Hola, este restaurante es lo mejor, la comida es exquisita todo es fresco, servicio al cliente es muy bueno, buen ambiente. Pero tengo una pequña critica el cafe que sirve la doña esta muy tibio.

  Visited twice, so far. Both times, I really enjoyed the homemade taste of chicken soup with cilantro, fresh string beans, and carrots. Very tasty whole fish and homemade green sauce. Sergio offers friendly and helpful service in English or Spanish, which means I get to practice speaking Spanish!
