  Drug like experience. Best meal I've ever had. The chefs table was one of the best dining experiences. Cannot recommend this place enough. Food was phenomenal and the service was as well.

  Excellent food as one would expect from a Michelin 1-star restaurant. The kitchen is truly superb. The presentation of the food on the plate was outstanding. And then there was the service and ambiance. An hour after we arrived, a large table of 7 men in suits arrived and was seated directly behind us. They were loud and arrived in a cloud of cigar smoke, which settled around them (and us) for the rest of our meal. That's when our meal service slowed W-A-Y down. We could no longer hear ourselves talking because the men were all shouting across the table at each other. We finished our meal and asked for the bill immediately. The "Loud" table was getting dessert, even though they had arrived an hour after us. I like a relaxing meal, but 2 1/2 hours for 4 courses is too slow. Not sure if I will return.

  Almost lives up to the price...almost. Really adventurous combinations of flavors, not much to complain about there - pure entertainment for your tastebuds. Not a pretentious place, I wore jeans and a jacket and felt fine (not a stink eye in the place). But that price...I guess they could increase the portion size a tad bit and then I’d think they have it.

  Great fine dining experience without being too stuffy and pretentious. Staff was friendly and personable yet professional. Food was excellent and unique. Ambience is warm and romantic with a hip flare. Easily one of my favorite places in DC. You can't go wrong!

  The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. We arrived at the time of our reservation and they had a table waiting just beside the outdoor patio. However, someone was smoking a cigar in the patio, and we asked if we could be moved away from the smoke. The staff was extremely accommodating and seated us at the chef’s table beside the kitchen, which was perfect for our foodie family. After a casual conversation about family events with the hostess while waiting for the table to be prepped, we were surprised and delighted later when our dessert plates arrived with personalized special occasion messages written in chocolate. It was a wonderful evening for our family of four - many thanks!
