::Martin's is probably among the top three restaurants on forth. While you're there, definitely try one of the specials as they're always excellent. Also try the tamarindo drink, it's magical! I've been eating there for years and always find it a perfect choice for an excellent casual meal š

::Had a reservation here, which they accepted and when we got there told us we couldn't be served because of all the tables on the patio (there were 4 tables by my count) furthermore, the kitchen staff was whistling any time he needed the server. One of the strangest restaurant experiences of my life. Definitely won't ever go back there.

::Four of us went to Martinās for dinner after a recommendation from a friend. Most of the food was really good. Still, it was easily the most awkward/terrible dining experience Iāve hadāand Iāve had a blind dateās mother join us for dinner. We ordered a few things including one fish taco. The fish tasted terrible to all of us (we passed it around to confirm). So, I just scraped it off and ate the tortilla. Worried that the fish might be bad (it tasted bad to two of us), one of our party mentioned it to the waiter as he was clearing our plates. The next thing we know the cook (the owner) is out at our table with one of those stainless steel containers full of fish pushing it into our faces and aggressively yelling at us to āsmell it. Itās not bad!ā We all declined, (because, what was this man doing?)and he stormed back into the kitchen yelling about us. Also we ordered flour tortillas and got corn. We ordered a pineapple empeƱada and got pumpkin. And, the waiter forgot about us at one point (he literally walked in the door and suddenly looked surprised and worried when he realized heād never put our empeƱadas in). Minor mistakes I ordinarily wouldnāt mention. Still, they were the cherry on top of an incredibly awkward, weird, and terrible dining experience. Iām giving it three stars for three reasons: 1) most of the food is quite goodāespecially the vegetarian tacos and torta. Just donāt order the fish. 2) This was probably my bad for ordering fish in a desert. 3) there must have been something going really wrong in Martinās life for him to shove uncooked fish in his customers faces. It seems like people have started to mention his increasing brashness more and more in reviews. Many of the earlier reviews say really nice stuff about him. So, Iām assuming thereās something going wrong for him personally thatās underlying his bizarre defensive/aggressive reaction to someone not liking one taco.

::The food was great, fam had torta, breafast burrito, quesadilla, and bean burrito. Only problem was that I got some killer food poisioning, and we narrowed it down to the salsa. Coulda been the Norovirus

::Very awesome experience with Martin on 4th. He's a legendary guy and a big heart and you can tell he puts that love into his food.
