::This is a lovely memorial for Martin Luther King, Jr.. There is a big statue of him carved out of a block of stone and etchings of his famous words and phrases that he has said over time. There isn't really any shade and areas to sit down but there were some benches. This is very close to the FDR memorial and across the street you can walk to the Lincoln memorial and the Korea war memorial.

::Gone too soon!! I enjoyed this memorial so much. He was a wonderful man that will continue to inspire for years to come. Not many can say that!!

::One of the best place in Washington DC. It was little difficult to search. But worth visiting. I don't know why the statue is facing away from rest of the buildings and statues there. The line carved on stone is too good.

::Yet another awesome memorial design. As always, great representation and meaning of the location, and incredible views. From this spot you can see the Washington monument, and Jefferson memorial. Cool spot.

::This was my favorite of all the memorials. I loved all the history and beautiful quotes from Dr. King. We went at night and the lighting is absolutely stunning. We rented the bikes you find on every corner and rode around to all the monuments and it was the most fun we had our entire trip.
