::Well I just checked in and didn't have the best experience with the service. I'm an Ambassador member and the 1st thing I inquire about Was there $35 a night parking. Two days ago I stayed at Sheridan suites where they also Had paid parking But Unlike Marriott Anchorage downtown they validated and/or Comp my parking

::Same layout as many other Marriotts in this chain of hotels. Comfortable rooms, good number of elevators. Very busy lobby with cruise and land tours coming through so fairly crowded. Cool display items in the lobby with a bear and also native raincoats made from seal intestine. Great central location in downtown Anchorage easily walkable to many places. Quiet in room and clean and updated. Nice stay.

::I was recently in Anchorage for a business trip and I got in at a late hour. I had some issues with my company card and Rita D. was very patient and understanding. The whole graveyard staff was friendly and positive- even when I trudged in after a long shift at work! I also want to give a shoutout to Douglas, who was working at the restaurant. The service was wonderful, he anticipated my need for a to go iced tea and the food was very good!

::Called local number, no answer. Drove down to the hotel to book a room. The front desk staff handed me a phone with an automated service for reservations. First person I spoke with hung up after they put me on hold. Went through automated service again and spoke with someone with an Indian accent that was trying their best to help. All in all about 45 minutes to book a simple reservation. A special rate was needed for an event downtown, so as far as I know it could not be done online, and I don't want to have to deal with some online form and find out at the end I can't get the special rate. Constructive criticism to Marriott management: accept your customers money when they are trying to give you business without having to call someone on the other side of the world. There are many hotels to choose from in Anchorage. I am sure many of them would accept my money much easier without a headache.

::Always a great stay. Being flight crew I always check in late night. The front desk is super friendly and helpful especially for night shift! Usually get a grumpy check in but never here. The girls working were super energetic and nice. Really means a lot. Thanks for being awesome. The rooms are nice and quiet so I always sleep well even during the day.
