::I don't write reviews very often, but if I could give a negative star rating to Marine Bank for customer service, I would. I have had an account with Marine Bank since I moved here in 2015. As long as you don't have any issues come up, they are fine to work with. However, if anything comes up that is out of the ordinary, like fraudulent charges on your account, don't expect them to be capable of understanding the situation or to handle it in a timely or careful manner. They advised me to return an item that was mailed to me by mistake and that charged my account $70. Marine Bank assured me that by returning the item and showing them proof that I returned it, that they would handle the fraud activity and I would regain the amount lost. Instead, I returned the item and brought the proof to Marine Bank and was later told they could do nothing about it. I spoke with a teller, who did not refer me to management, even when I said I would be closing my account. Then, I emailed corporate offices, who appologized for the "frustrating experience," but they did not refund me the amount. They just agreed to let me close my account via email. Very unprofessional. Very much customer un-friendly.
