::The BPL has a "proper" restaurant with linen table-cloths if you want that sort of lunch or tea, but if you're working in the Library just want a regular sandwich/soup/etc. then the Maproom cafe fits the bill and is much less hassle than leaving the building to find somewhere else. Sandwiches etc. are made fresh, not pre-prepared, so be prepared for a short wait.
