::I was looking for a quality Mexican “Tex mex” experience.... not so much! They don’t know what relish is, and their salsa tastes like it came from the local supermarket.... save yourself the trouble 😔

::Tasty mid day cocktails and appetizers with a fun conversation with staff. Drinks - Had a few various cocktails that were served quickly, tasted perfectly, and had a bit of a kick. Food - Damn good nachos that we're not lucky enough to experience in the DC area. Tortas with chorizo were also a great portion with an enjoyable taste. Served timely made it all even better. Service - Woman bartender was quick to keep drinks filled, and made sure the meal was tasting good. Fantastic service. Atmosphere - Nothing too special about the decor but we did have a great conversation with the bartender and who seemed to be one of the managers. Very friendly folks. A fun first experience in Austin for us.

::The enchiladas were excellent. You can choose different combinations with spinach, cheese, beef, chicken, pork fillings and one of five sauces. Recommended! Great service! General manager Sal and everyone how they are doing.

::We celebrated a birthday here. They were very accommodating, they even called to confirm my reservation, and to let me know my table would be ready for us. Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious!

::This is a "fancy" Mexican food restaurant where you'll pay about double the typical price for typical dishes. There are occasions where you want white tablecloths and upscale service, and they can be very busy. The food and service are good. This isn't the kind of place I'd go every week - for me it's "special occasions". If you're rolling in the dough or just like to impress ritzy friends, this may be your kinda place. For me, there are 200 better Mexican restaurants in Austin to chose from, and they cost a lot less. I go to Manuel's about once every 5 to 10 years.
