::We wanted to eat really early and chose Mamma Lucia because it was close to our hotel. FANTASTIC CHOICE! We ordered chicken parmigiana, my husband’s favorite so when he said it was one of the best he’d had it’s meaningful. He said the sauce was VERY tasty, not overly tomato. The sign on the wall said Freshly made so I ordered the Asparagus with shrimp, scallops and mushrooms, a combo of some of my favorite foods BUT I asked them to make it with the cherry tomato sauce rather than the pink sauce listed. They did and do made a memorable meal for me. YUM YUMMY YUM. Lovely server and well-paced service.

::This place is the best! Jeff and his team really helped me out! I was ordering for my college field hockey team, they were able to put 31 orders together on short notice, the owner worked with me personally, the team was adaptable to changes and requests I made, and they did it all with a great attitude. I will be keeping them in mind whenever I am in the area! Not only was their service above and beyond, but the food was delicious and our team really enjoyed it. Jeff and his team are rockstars!

::Friday night looking for a place to eat in Bethesda and we decided on Mamma Lucia because my friend who lives here orders out from there a lot. Big mistake!! Wish i could give them zero stars! She had never dined in only used take out. We arrived at about 8:45 and ordered. So far everything was going well and about an hour later we were wondering where our food was so we called the waitress to the table she said OMG I forgot to put the order in. I don’t know how this happened and she went to the front and told her manager, Jeff, I f—-ed up and I forgot to place their order. She came back was remorseful for a minute then went back to the front and Jeff never not once came to our table to apologize for the mishap or to even pick up the check. He stayed behind the register the whole time. She then said she would pay for our meal and Jeff said that was nice. We were like when you mess up you don’t tell the employee that’s nice and never address the customers we were spending a lot of money that evening and the whole thing was a mess. Makes me wonder if it was because we were the only black folks dining in the restaurant? Still didn’t matter that their customer service SUCKED! I will never go there again and my friend who lives here and ordered frequently will never go there again either! If you are looking for good customer service, this is not the place to go!

::Traveling from Texas I want some good Italian food and my friend told me about Mama Lucia. We waiting for an hour and asked the waitress was out food coming soon. The waitress told us she forgot to put in our order and when I asked to speak with a manager. No one never came over to the table to explain why our order haven’t came. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It wasn’t a good experience for us!
