::Well preserved, thousands of still original items and an extremely helpful guide ... (sorry to have forgotten your name). A paupável history lesson.

::I visited here on a quiet day and ended up getting a guided tour all to myself! My guide was wonderfully informative, friendly and chatty, and even offered me some antihistamines to help with the allergies I was suffering from during my visit. She told me all about the history of the house and the conservation work that they were carrying out and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The area that the house is situated is known as “Victorian Village” as there are a number of these grand Victorian properties on several streets, so it’s well worth having a walk around and seeing them all as they’re all very beautiful. (As a side note, some of them are closed to the public, but a few offer tours, and some have been converted into B&Bs)

::Beautiful, well-preserved house. Docent Michael was full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the house. He toured the house in the 80's and it turned out one of the family members who had lived there was on the tour with him!
