::I came here for a private event and I had a great time. It was on a Sunday so I had no issue finding parking about a block away. It wasn't what I was expecting based on the reviews that I read. It was a really nice and open space, with several levels. Since it was raining I didn't get to see the outside space. The bartenders were very helpful and fun. I will more than likely return when the weather is nicer.

::I went here because my friend is a serious DC foodie and this is his favorite place around. Warning, the restaurant is at the back of a clothing store so don't be discouraged when you first find the location. I brought my mom and we had the pork bun, radish salad and fish entree. I really loved the appetizers. I would have preferred if the fish were just baked/grilled and not also fried, but it was good. Honestly, the best parts were the drinks and the service. My mom and I each had a cocktail and they were complex and deliciously strong. Our server was also so great! She was very helping in guiding us on what to pick when we asked for help and is clearly a fan of the food they serve as well.

::Came to Maketto with a friend for dinner. We went with the tasting menu, so tried out a few different things. Many of the dishes tasted quite authentic! The bao and snow peas were especially tasty and reminded me of home. And I can't forget the cheesy dumplings we had - just wow. We also had the fried chicken and desserts. Oh my - the bananas foster!! So good! And the egg tarts too! Overall, a great experience and will definitely be back to hang out at the cafe upstairs.

::Tried Maketto out for the first time yesterday and had an amazing experience. Great coffee, delicious food, chill ambience, and fantastic staff made it well worth the visit. So excited to make this my neighborhood coffee stop!

::Multifunctional space that is a fusion of lifestyle concept, apparel, accessories and restaurant cafe. Great place to sit with your laptop or enjoy a long brunch with friends. Can also easily accommodate big parties in the backyard extension. The shrimp dumplings are different from traditional dim sum with the addition of chili cilantro vinegar but SO tasty. Also don’t miss the pumpkin coconut rice dessert!
