  This is a regular stop on our quarterly Chicago visits. Very convenient to great restaurants, shopping, Wrigley, etc. They remodeled since our last visit, and the new decor is great. Our room is spacious, well-appointed, and the sunroom is comfy and charming. This is a quaint, convenient, cozy hotel at a great price point. We love it here.

  The staff was friendly and the lounge area was cute and cozy. The second "bed", however, was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept in in my life. It was a hide-a-bed in the sunroom. They shouldn't have even called this a bed. And I froze to death the first night, because the sunroom is wall to wall windows and they only gave one small blanket on the pull out bed (no extra blankets were available in the closet) and the heater didn't heat very well. By the second night I used the blanket from the real bed on top of the blanket from the pull out bed and had the heater on full blast. The in-room snack basket was stocked with good stuff and was reasonably priced, so were the cold beverages. The bathroom had NO bars to hang towels on, which was weird and inconvenient. While it was very nice that they had a set up for continental breakfast in the lounge, there were no non-dairy options (for the oatmeal or the coffee) for those of us who are lactose intolerant. The location of the hotel was nice.

  Nice, quaint place with a nice fireplace and lounge area on the first floor. Rooms were a good size and nice and clean. Finally, a hotel that has caught on that it is less wasteful and more economical to use large, refillable bottles of shampoo and soap instead of small, dinky sample sizes and bar soap.

  It's just plain old everything, but they claim it is old-fashioned. I am not impressed. There is no fan vent in the bathroom and even after an hour, the stink doesn't die down after using the toilet. Access to parking is the worst. They don't have their own parking space, so they have some arrangements with the next door high-rise condo building. It's too far at the opposite side of the block and walking in the cold even in April is unpleasant. Certainly the price is too high for this kind of hotel. Other than these, the stay was normal and the front desk person was nice and friendly.

  Right off of Lake Shore Drive and conveniently located near all public transportation. The staff is so friendly. Check-in was very quick as well. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast selection but warm cookies in the lobby every day after 4pm. The rooms are a little tiny but it's what in would expect for a boutique hotel. Very clean room and the snack and mini bar are fully stocked. They also have small bites by calling the front desk but I did not have any. Anytime I need to visit family in the city on will be back. The price was so very reasonable.
