Good eats! Everything taste so fresh and homemade. The salsa ranchera was excellent. I honestly don’t have any negatives about the food (That very uncommon). The portion sizes are huge. The environment is a bit loud and the decor gives a hip barnyard feel. I’d definitely be back.

This is one of the premier breakfast spots in Milwaukee, no ifs ands or buts about it! Like all of these gems, it gets PACKED on the weekends, so you'll need to be prepared to wait. A great option is looking it up on yelp and joining the waiting list remotely, that way you can join the list 30 min before you leave for it on Sunday morning and end up with a reasonable wait when you arrive! Personally, I'd recommend the breakfast tacos and the strawberry smoothie l. Both are excellent! My girlfriend got the jalapeo skillet (very spicy!) and granola-berry yogurt and loved both, as well. My only complaint was the guy who took a very loud, very tense business call in the bathroom (not even in a stall - just standing by the sink almost yelling). But hey, that's not the restaurant's fault! Check it out, you will be glad you did!

The food is different from your typical breakfast fare... it's always fresh with good ingredients and flavor. It's popular, so it's always crowded and they're only open for a few hours a day. Go as early as possible and plan to wait a bit. It's well worth it though!

The meals at Mad Rooster are AWESOME. Before they opened, other restaurants were...acceptable. Try going back to your regular spots after visiting this establishment. They're quick with service, the food is FRESH (the corned beef hash is more like freshly chopped corned beef, and potatoes that were just cut and cooked to order). Lol Not sure how they continue with the great service, but I LOVE IT!

Although we had to wait for quite a long time the selections were across the board and all the entrees were great except for the French toast. Nothing special about that entree. But the others were really tasty. Great atmosphere. Down to earth place with friendly staff.
