  I have a theory about Macys. They're basically split into 2 types - sad Macy's or happy Macy's. The Great Neck Macy's used to be a sad Macy's but when sadder Macy's of Douglaston shut down, this Macy's became a happy Macy's.

  I have a lot of difficulty shopping in Macy's in Manhasset. I find the clothing is hard to buy because of poor organization of the store. If you wear a women's size or a junior size you have to go from one floor to the to get the matching bottom or top. The floors are made out of tile and it's very difficult to walk. There are no carts or wagons to assist with carrying bedding or clothing when you have lots of things to carry. The help is minimal if you are looking for something in the store. A lot of the fashion shown in the women's Department nobody would want to wear. The buyers aren't doing a very good job. Very small Department of women's clothing

  Solid stand alone Department store. It may look a little run down on the outside but it is a pleasant place to shop. You can get whatever you need from here without having to travel a far way to Roosevelt Field or Manhattan. If they do not have what you need then they will put an order in for you to bring to the atore or have it delivered to your house. Good service.

  A small Macy's department store. It is usually very crowded, but not very organized. No one folds and rearranges shirts, sweaters, pants, or any hanging garment and displaces them in order of size or brand after uncaring customers will dump them anywhere once the have looked at them or tried them on. And once you have found what you wanted a very long line is waiting for you. This store does very little to help customers with extra cashiers when needed.

  As per usual, Macy's has a big selection of clothing. It is also fairly clean, even for a weekend. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A major pro to this Macy's are that the prices are just about the same in all Macy's establishments, regardless of geographical tax brackets. Finally, their clearance sections are gigantic. It also doesn't hurt that there's a coffee shop inside as well (Starbucks for those that are curious to know which coffee shop).
