  If you are into antiques, then this is an interesting place. The food was ok, first time that I had a chili burger where the Chile was extremely dry beef with black beans and some cheese. I was expecting your typical style of chili (running). Desert was good. $

  Very cool old diner. The staff was very friendly and warm. The food is great- I had a giant bacon cheeseburger and potato salad better than any other than my own. I had a real cherry Coke and a chocolate egg cream that brought me back to my childhood. They even brought me a free hot fudge sundea because I mentioned it was my birthday! We'll definitely be back. I think everybody should check this place out. At least once. Thanks for a great lunch!!

  This place is quaint, inviting and there are interesting antiques and collectibles to enjoy everywhere. Its definitely more than just a place to grab food, it's an experience akin to stepping back in time to the "good ole days". The owner is genuine and personable and the ladies behind the counter are darling. We came in right at closing time not realizing that it was so late and they graciously made us milkshakes and even offered my boys quarters to use their jukebox. We will be back again and again.

  Macalpine's Diner & Soda fountain is definitely a rare find in Phoenix. A great spot for lunch and for those who like to go antiquing or second-hand shopping. The bacon in this joint is amazing!!!! Not to mention to call the creative soda ideas. The store around the restaurant is even cooler with stuff dating back to the 1900's. Definitely going back for lunch next time I'm in town.

  Owner is extremely vegetarian friendly and always makes sure there is at least one vegetarian soup on the menu each day. Very friendly and accommodating. +1 star for that. They eat at a lot of places to compare their options. That being said, I thought all of their vegetarian food options that we tried were sweet. I have a mega sweet tooth and an admitted sugar addiction, but it just didn't feel appropriate for the type of food being served. Soda options are amazing. Interesting place to see. We'll try them again. They seem to genuinely care about their customers.
