  Lutz Entertainment was recommended by our day of coordinator Jeanne Stark (Hudson Valley Ceremonies). After reading excellent review after excellent review and a quick phone screening, we hired him for our wedding. We met in person once before the wedding to review introductions and accompanying music, our first dance (which he performed live), our musical preferences and the entire run of show. And in the final weeks leading up to the wedding, Jimmy checked in to see if we had any additional requests or thoughts. The process was seamless and it showed the day of. For instance, my mother was insistent that dinner was not a time to be dancing and guests should be able to hear each other from across the table. Mindful of this, Jimmy used the time to play non-dancing music from some of our favorite bands at a lower level than normal. Speaking with a close friend (who knows my musical preferences) after the wedding, he expressed how personal the music was throughout the night, from introductions to dinner to dancing. Success! Jimmy’s enthusiasm for music is infectious and my husband and I now find ourselves brainstorming ways we could incorporate him into future events, just so we could work with him again! With that said, we highly recommend Jimmy for your own wedding!

  Jimmy was everything we could have hoped for in a DJ for our wedding! We had a small, low-key wedding with no bridal party and no traditional add-ons (bouquet toss, father/daughter dance, etc.). We just wanted good music and a good time. We met with him a few times over Skype and knew that he would be perfect. We gave him some suggestions for music just so he could get a feel for our style and told him to just go with whatever he wanted. And did he ever!! He has an amazing feel for a room and knows how to ramp the party up as well as calm it down, like when it was time for dinner. We had a very diverse group so we told him not to be shy about the classics and to mix in whatever he felt would keep the party going. The dance floor was packed for our entire reception and even my dad, tie-loosened, called Jimmy "out of this world". In fact, many of our guests kept telling us over and over all evening how great he was. He also played guitar and sang for cocktail hour and it was such a great touch. From the beginning of the ceremony until the last dance, Jimmy was a total pro and created the most amazing atmosphere for our wedding. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

  Jimmy has an extremely broad musical background, not only referring to his DJ'ing abilities, but he has been a musician his entire life. This allows him to truly feel the music, as well as read the chemistry between a crowd and alter accordingly. This makes him ideal for any party that doesn't necessarily want the "cheese" factor. Jimmy will rock your party specific to your wants and needs; and more than likely exceed them! Jimmy is also an overall person is outstanding. He is reliable and understanding, which is extremely rare to find, especially in this industry. He's the kind of person that you may have met 20 minutes ago, but feel like you've known for 20 years! He is truly there for your well-being, and the well-being of your special day, whatever you may be celebrating. He takes your worries into consideration and will quickly put you at ease, as you will find he is very trustworthy! If you do have the chance to meet with Jimmy, consider yourself lucky!

  Jimmy has been nothing short of fabulous to work with! I am a wedding photographer, and have worked with countless DJ's. Something that has always stood out working with Jimmy is that he is a musician. He loves what he does and the couples he works for, and that translates onto every dance floor. One of Jimmy's greatest talents is knowing how to use time. He doesn't always fill a lull in dancing activity with crazy music if the mood doesn't allow for it. He builds up to those moments strategically, and reads how his crowd is feeling. So when the crowd is moving they're really moving!! They feel the music he plays! It's refreshing to work with a DJ who knows how to respond to people's needs.

  Used Lutz Entertainment for my father's wedding. Saying his performance was perfect would be an understatement. Had everyone dancing through the evening. A night to remember. Would recommend for anyone/event. Thank you!
