I made a road call for a cracked coolant hose. They were very nice over the phone, though lied about arrival time. When the mechanic got to me, he went under the truck, looked for short while and said that he has to go get the parts to fix it (it was midnight on Saturday, so I knew it would be hard, although I was surprised he didn’t have any hose fittings with him. I specifically described the problem, when I called. He came back after 1.5h, spent few minutes under the truck and said that there’s nothing that could be done to this, he doesn’t have parts... it was already 2am. He said, he is going to charge me anyway, because he lost a lot of time and he would get yelled at otherwise. So I was left in 20 degree weather during an aftermath of a snow blizzard, couldn’t start the engine or bunk heater (I do admit, that he offered to drive me to a hotel, which I couldn’t accept, I had to stay with the truck). He charged me over $300 dollars, and left broke down the same way, just lighter of $300+ He said he wouldn’t leave me the fittings he allegedly bought for my truck, because I didn’t pay for it. He said that I need to get towed to a Volvo, or call them again on Monday so they can buy the hoses (I would need to pay again from starch). The next morning I took an Uber to home depot, bought few fittings and fixed the hoses myself. For me it was a clear rip off. He knew he wouldn’t fix it from the begging, but pretended to go over for parts to make me pay for his time. Very dishonest, that’s not what I called for service for. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM HIRING THEM. It’s a scam and ripoff. I include pics of parts I needed to fix the hoses and his invoice below.
