  My experience with this store has been very mixed thus my only awarding it 3 stars. When going in there to purchase something the staff are very helpful. However if you are trying to return or exchange something you bought online then be prepared for major frustration. On one defective item I attempted to return I was told I had to do it online since the order was online NOT TRUE. I called the hotline and the customer support person told me the staff had to assist me with the issue. After waiting for a manager with customer support still on the phone as back up the salesperson opened a box in the store and removed the item that was missing from my original order - bear in mind my first attempt was met with "No we don't do this you have to mail it back etc". I underwent a similarly painful process regarding a fridge that arrived dented. However it was eventually resolved.

  Literally the worst customer service experience. I would recommend going to the Brooklyn location. The appliance department isn’t accurate and is not familiar with the products. They charge extra for installing applicances.

  It's one of the smallest Lowe's that I have I ever been in but it is very clean and the customer service is excellent. There are two floors and two elevators. I went to buy florescent light bulbs and I was able to find them without assistance. Every aera is clearly marked and organized.

  Then I went to this Lowe's and a very pleasant and knowledgeable hardware section employee named Charles helped me pick out the proper hoses and even connected and set them for up me so that they wouldn't bleed and spray water. He had 20 years of handyman and plumbing experience and told lots of stories as well. A dream employee ! I first went to Home Depot first to get help with a bleeding hose for a portable washing machine...they were completely untrained and unhelpful unfortunately.

  I like this store. While it's big enough to get most items you'd like, it's not so big that you can get lost looking for an item. Located in the busy Sixth Avenue shopping district of Chelsea it's easily accessible by car or subway. Ground floor entrance and is two levels. Handicapped accessible entrance and there's an elevator. Most home improvement items can be found here. It's a new store and there's home design and decorating services available.
