::Shopping with my daughter for her new home. She had a $100 gift card earned on a return made by her husband. Along with other items, she wanted to purchase 5 cordless blinds. The blinds alone totaled over $150. Long story short...was not allowed to use the gift card because it had not been issued to her. My daughter spoke with two managers. They would not budge. In fact, Rich the store manager, also added he "didn't care" if she left the store unhappy. Needless to say Lowe's lost a sale yesterday and many more in the future. She is also closing her Lowe's credit card. I was VERY disappointed in the store manager's attitude. I think their store policy regarding gift cards given for returns may need a second look. Additonal customer service training for their executives may be in order as well. Shame on you Rich, you're not eloquent or professional. Valerie Gustofson

::On a Busy Sunday ZERO REGISTERS open for business. All customers direted to use the self check out. Manager leaning on his cash register, just talking. One attendent over seeing the self check. My register would not see the items placed in the bag, and stopped for every item until cleared by the single working attendant. Manager NEVER moved. Seven items, waited seven times for the attendant to get back to me. Why go back? See you at Home Depot.

::Worst customer service ever. Tried to get lumber cut to a size because the 10 foot won't fit through my apartment doorway. Employee was very annoyed that he had to cut the wood, because they don't cut wood for projects. I understood, but I needed to cut down in order to fit through my doorway. I asked to locate certain size wood and was just pointed to the location. Didn't feel welcomed at all and I guess they don't believe in "thank you" and "welcome" . I asked another employee for a certain screw and was told "whatever is there is what we have"!?!?!?!! I asked another employee for wood stain, was told to hold on while she kept talking to another employee, then skipped me and ask another person what they needed while I stood there in shocked! Horrible experience. We talk about the millenniums, but these 70's people are just alike.
