  Ordered general tso chicken and jalapeno chicken. Both were really delcious! Staff was friendly and attentive. Will be coming back!

  We went for lunch. Service was prompt. Food was ok. The sauce on the spicy shrimp was more sweet than spicy and a bit oily.

  This review is long overdue... I have been going here for lunch at least once a week since I moved to Austin a year and a half ago. The food is always delicious, the space is cozy, and the staff is the best staff you can ask for in a restaurant dining experience. Tony has always taken great care of us and will go above and beyond to make you happy, but his whole family is kind and friendly and will always put a smile on your face. Lunch menu is also an amazing deal, and they can accommodate your dietary preferences. Highly recommend! I will never stop going to Lotus. :)

  Yes, I am giving them a 5 star because I ordered the Chicken and Fish with vegetables at lunchtime and it was "the best ever"!! Seriously! Lots of chicken and shrimp! "Fresh, big pieces of shrimp too! The sauce was not over whelming or too much garlic. I may have visited at a good time, who knows. Last time we went here I loved it also! We have been trying Chinese restaurants, or similar types around Austin and I am always leery about ordering shrimp because it's fishy tasting. Chicken is always chewy, rubbery. At Lotus Hunan the Fish and shrimp were so fresh tasting! It should NOT taste fishy, and THAT is why people hate fish. While eating I told my husband, "I have to tell them how much I loved my lunch! I highly recommend it. Pricing is reasonable, good amount of food! (I finished mine which is unusual. I take it home! Was full all day!)
