  It has been said 1,000 times but Cory Muscara is wise beyond his years. This may sound cliche, but the day I met Cory, my life changed course. I was in a state of chaos at the time and the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course gave me the tools and perspective I needed to move forward. Thanks to Cory and the skills I learned at the Long Island Center for Mindfulness, I am a better human being. Most importantly, I am awake, aware and no longer floating through life. Cory is a friend, a mentor and someone I respect immensely. Do not hesitate to experience one of his courses and introduce mindfulness into your life.

  The search for a new tool to deal with anxiety brought me to the Long Island Center for Mindfulness. I was told by Cory not to expect anything. All I had to do was sit and breathe; the benefits would just appear. Sure enough, within a month I grew fingernails. For 40 plus years I was a nail biter. Nothing had ever worked. I continued to practice every day. Slowly, things started falling into place. My patience grew. I could stand in a long line without losing my mind. Traffic became just traffic. It wasn't good or bad; it just was. I learned that you can't stop the waves of life, but you can learn to surf them with kindness, compassion, and mindfulness. Cory's wisdom and experience set him apart from any other instructors out there. The guy sat in silence as an ordained monk in Burma for 6 months. He understands the mind. Trust me! I give Cory Muscara and the Long Island Center for Mindfulness my highest recommendation.
