Car broke down on a Sunday and my family and I were in an unfamiliar place. Called and spoke with Tom who assured that they are open 24 hours since we still have to set up transportation for the rest of the family being that only 2 can ride on the tow truck. Once we have it set up I called again and spoke with Tom. He made it clear on how much the cost will be and sent the truck in less than 45 minutes. Milton the driver was a very nice gentleman. He checked with us if we understood the cost and we confirmed it. He represents the company real well. I highly recommend Lone Star Service Company. They are dependable and honest. Thank you Tom and Milton.

This place is terrible. My car was towed parked at a visitors spot and when I called the number (which by the way it says is 24 hours) they told me they only open 8-5 and I would have to wait until the next morning to get the car. That's unacceptable. Specially since I was out with a small child on the street and no car. And the police was also useless.

They were kind to us in our time of need. Gave us extra time to clean out our totalled car and helped us get plates off. Nice people.

I started with Lone star when I owned a Mitsubishi. Unfortunately all the Mitsubishi dealers shut their doors a few years back. So I turned to Lone Star for my repair work. That was around 15 years ago, and I have been a regular customer ever since. Their work is great, it is thorough, and they really know their automobiles. My wife thinks some of them might be bikers : ) The prices they charge are reasonable. What more can I say -- they check all the boxes. My only negative is they aren't very adept at letting me know when I can pick up my car when it is done, but that isn't enough to make me go anywhere else. GREAT BUSINESS!!

Crooks and liars. That’s the best way to sum up Lone Star Repair, who are somehow in bed with multiple properties throughout Stamford. My car was towed from the apartment complex at which I live. The invoice (more on that later) says that a tow was “requested” by the owner. First, there were dozens of empty spots overnight, so it’s not as though an angry neighbor called at 5:30 in the morning - when my car was towed - looking for a space. No, nobody called to request the car was towed. The employees at Lone Star will make it seem that way, that they’re doing the property management’s bidding. After voicing my complaints to the property management group, I received a call from the property manager informing me that, despite the fact that they have the make, model and plate number of my car, that unless Lone Star Towing’s representative can see a medallion visibly, they are allowed to tow at their own discretion. In other words, the property group wants nothing to do with supervising its own lot, and instead will allow a towing company to tow pretty much at will. It didn’t matter that there were dozens of spots available, and it didn’t matter that my car had been parked 90% of the time over the past 13 months here, they were going to tow my car the one night my medallion wasn’t 100% visible in order to make $200. They had my car for five hours, and the cost was $200, including a $90 winching fee for a front wheel drive car that was backed into the space. This was not policing/enhancing the property community or doing a service, this was simply seizing the opportunity to make $200.
