::The visitor center and mansion are beautiful to walk in and around, and the trails are well kept and easy enough so as to get a nice work out without staining yourself too much. You can't walk right up to the Hudson, but you can see it and the train tracks from a short distance. They also have their own flower gardens, which are very nice. It's definitely worth a visit and you can spend anywhere from an hour to half a day if you really want.

::Grounds are well maintained. Beautiful hiking trails, and historic buildings.

::The main entrance is a museum/ event hall. Go around back to get to the trails. You can bring pets! The trails are gravel so wear comfortable shoes. Some trails get close to the Hudson River so you can get those nice pictures! If you don't want to walk around just find a bench and chill out under the shade or in a garden. My dog loved it there so we'll def be going back!

::Locust Grove (Samuel Morse estate) is well worth a visit. While the museum is small, the house (when it is open) is fascinating and the grounds with rolling hills leading down to the Hudson are well worth exploring on well-designed paths. Also, the visitor's center is reservable for weddings and other events.

::Beautiful historic place with massive grounds. Unfortunately the houses and offices were closed the day I visited due to the federal government stopping funds for them to run places like this. Other than this I took a walk around the gardens and it was lovely.
