An old-fashioned European Eatery classical Portuguese menu. The food as well prepared and the service is professional and very attentive without being opsequieous.

Loved this restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and very conducive to enjoying a great meal. Service is professional without being overbearing and stuffy. Food is outstanding. The shrimp in cognac and lemon sauce was over the top. Huge jumbo shrimp about 6 to 8 of them tender and not rubbery. Coquille St. Jaques excellent. Grilled seafood combo very good. Grilled rib eye a special was tender and tasty. If you have room for dessert the flan, creme Brule and cream of heaven pushed the envelope. 1st time here and I'll go there many more times. Prices are affordable. Just go and enjoy.

Outstanding food. Good portions. Reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Great place for special occasions. Reservations necessary because they are always busy. The locals love this place. Seafood is their specialty and with the Portuguese marinated olives, dinner rolls and homemade potato chips as free starters, you will not leave hungry. Also be sure to try a glass of their Portuguese after dinner Port wine. It is a perfect finish for a perfect meal. In case you haven't guessed, I loved the place.

Not literally 'the best food in the world", but better than most, and a tremendous value for what you get, especially if you go for the ones that carry a two-fer pricing. I mean, rack of lamb for two for $38 and change is unheard of anywhere, never mind New York - and it is really 1.2 rack, with 10 ribs! Wines are fantastic and wonderful values (Portuguese!), and they don't give you one the mark up. Very busy on Fridays and Saturdays fur that reason, but lovely place for an intimate dinner the rest of the week.
