::Brought my son here and he loved it. There were no homeless people just families and skaters. Great atmosphere.

::The lagoon is home to swans & many geese. There are great facilities for performing arts, art exhibits both in/outdoors. Plenty of open space in this rather large park. The park houses child development & nature education buildings colorfully painted.

::Beautiful park with a very interesting history. The pond is quite tranquil with many forms of wildlife present. There are basketball courts and baseball fields, a skatepark, workout equipment, a pool (under construction), and a cultural center/event space. There are several paved paths throughout the park making very accommodating and accessible for handicap access. Several picnic tables both shaded and in full sun. There are several trees in the park that are well over 100 years old which is increasingly rare in Los Angeles. There are also several statues and monuments which help to tell the story of the parks history. Great place to walk, and dogs love it too!!!

::Great place to relax. You can enjoy the solitude while having an ambiance of ducks and lake. There is also a great festive area called la plaza de la raza, where they hold ethnic events catering to the Park's culture. There only reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 stars, because occasionally there will be Random strangers who seem a bit off. But like any where else be aware of your surroundings.
