  The staff here has always treated me in a very difnified manner. Barbara & Ebony are good souls and I really appreciate them for making the quality of my life better.

  I recently stayed at Samaritan House woman's shelter, for only a month. The Case manager Martha made quick work of finding me suitable housing, as well as assisting my child who is also in a housing program attain an apartment for her and her child. The staff here don't get the credit they deserve. I see woman with real issues and drug problems bash this staff daily, and complain until they get their way, but never address their own personal issues. I credit the staff for having to endure such disrespect and nasty behaviors towards them, but still come through to help those who truly want and need it. I also want to thank the staff that went above and beyond to help me get some things done at DSS, who was really giving me a hard time but state they are their to help. The program could benefit from more funding so they can replace the beds, they are very hard to sleep on. But overall they try their best to make you as comfortable is possible. I am grateful to this program for not only giving me a place to stay, but also treating me with respect and compassion in my time of need. I look forward to visiting the staff and updating them on my progress.
