  It's a beautiful hotel in a wonderful downtown location with a gorgeous rooftop bar, but I found it a bit lacking. Our room was neat but not clean. We found blood or ketchup (not sure which) on the underneath side of one of the duvet covers. While they moved us quickly to a new room, it was inconvenient as we had to repack and were in the midst of getting ready for evening plans. I felt they should have upgraded us. We ordered room service and there were two room service charges on the bill. While the safe is tucked under the dressing table, it is inconveniently located and the layout of the room was difficult. The lighting is less than desirable as well and it is why we were unable to determine if it was blood or ketchup. Also, be careful filling out the breakfast form. Even though it says "write the number of servings" which we did, it doesn't guarantee it will be correct. We ordered 2 of the two egg breakfast option and received 1. We also indicated wheat toast and received sour dough. Finally, do not expect a top sheet. There is a very comfortable duvet, but that's it - no blanket or extra pillow in the closet either. The TV and desk are conveniently located and the bathroom and closet are large and clean. I enjoyed the in-room selection of coffee and teas.

  This was a nice downtown Houston hotel. It was clean and new throughout. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel.

  I just love this hotel. I came in late on Friday night and your night auditors were the nicest people I have ever met. So professional and welcoming. My room was beautiful and extremely clean. This hotel is the true definition of exceptional five star luxury service. I'll definitely be back.

  My husband and I had an absolutely FANTASTIC stay at Le Meridien!! The customer service we received was simply outstanding! We were greeted by Brittany at the front desk, who offered my husband and I champagne to help celebrate our anniversary! The next day during check out we met the Front Office Manager Ricky who was also truly wonderful. Amber was also very nice! Beyond the outstanding customer service we received, the room was also very well appointed and clean. Excellent stay!!! We will be back!!!

  Bottom line: This is the place to stay in downtown Houston. Tip: Valet is $34 a night, but pretty convenient. There are a few cheaper parking lots within a few block, ~$16/night. We loved this place. The decor was beautiful, the staff was caring and attentive, and the food tasted good too. The rooftop bar was a nice touch, and the fitness center has very nice/new machines. This place is top notch. If we end up back in Houston, this is where we will be staying.
