  Cool bar near Jones Hall. I think it may be a bit pricier than desired normally, but I strongly recommend stopping by during their HH. If it's a nice day out, they have a great balcony as well.

  Lovely place, good vibe, nice patio. Decent food, and tasty if uncomplicated drinks. However, they have a "1/2 priced champagne cocktail" special for Friday and Saturday nights, for which they offer a French 75. But, after the discount, it's still $10.xx; the bartender says the reasoning is that since the cocktail has 2 liquors in it, it needs to be that expensive. Nevermind most of their drinks have multiple liquors in them yet manage to be priced in the $10-12 range baseline, but *no one* charges $20+ for a French 75 unless it's made with, like, grand cru champagne (which this certainly isn't). So, either the bartender was lying to me to boost her sales, or these are the least competent/principled bev managers I've ever encountered. Either one, won't be coming back, there are too many other places to visit in this city.

  Nicely restored. Interesting decor. Great outdoor patio. Food and drinks are really good. Music was too loud to talk over.

  I wanted to host an event at this location (buy out) and the lack of communication was mind blowing. It took almost a week for Ian to get confirmation on the date availability (after I had to call and remind him), and 3 weeks have passed without a quote, call or email. After numerous phone calls and emails without a response, I had to book another venue (Thiird Coast Restaurant- not an ad). Which is unfortunate because Lawless had a great all-inclusive price, vibe, and location. Ian must have other more important clients since we were basically shut out. I do go to the bar on occasion for drinks and it has a great atmosphere and service. Because of that, I gave it two stars instead of one.

  Great drinks. Happy Hour is fantastic. Comfortable and clean. Drafts are a tad pricey.
