  I saw him on tv representing the super model, Stephanie Seymour, for a DUI case which he was able to get dismissed, but I had no idea about his criminal past and the multiple grievances filed against him on behalf of former clients. It’s terrifying that he is allowed to practice law. That’s our justice system for you. Being naive I figured that since Seymour used him he must’ve been a good lawyer. I wish I knew about his past BEFORE we hired him. He produced a pretrial contract for his client which was negotiated and signed, however he did not discuss fees or provide us with a contract for the trial then demanded an additional fee and refused to negotiate. He also threw random charges at us from doctors, investigators and other professionals which were not utilized during the trial. He sent about three different people to represent his client throughout the pretrial and trial. I had to beg his office to see the invoices from each contractor. He fell asleep during the judge’s charges- snoring and all! He also left his client’s files out in the court hallway for his family to take home before the jury announced their verdict because he was “tired.” He is condescending, confrontational, extremely difficult to work with. He gets angry if you don’t understand something, yells a lot and hangs up on you. He threatened his client that he had “nothing good to say about him and he would get the max” since he had not been paid for the trial fee that was never contracted. He has made a difficult situation 10 times worse than it already is for our entire family. I STRONGLY advise you to not use this “lawyer.”

  Good attorney and great team working for him. His firm is known for bringing cases to trial. He fights for the rights of his clients when so many other attorneys have never taken a case to trial before. P.S. The internet probably isn't the best place to find an attorney. Ask around in Fairfield County for a top trial attorney and you will more than likely be referred to Philip Russell every time.

  Philip Russell seems to support the idea that it is legally ok and not sexual assault to aggressively make any physical contact with a person's intimate areas, as long as you think it's a joke. You know, "jocular". So if you are looking for someone with this set of standards and practices, he's your man.
